All Things Hydrogen Conference 2025
On Tuesday 18th March, the National Subsea Centre, in collaboration with ​​Robert Gordon University and Hy-One, hosted the 2025 All Things Hydrogen Conference.
​
The conference was a great success and delivered a fantastic day of learning and collaboration. Delegates heard from an impressive lineup of speakers across three sessions: Hydrogen Production, Hydrogen Facilities for Testing & Demonstration and Hydrogen System Integration & Use Case.
Delegates also participated in thought-provoking panel discussions and engaged with fellow attendees, building connections and expanding networks. ​​

The All Things Hydrogen Conference is BACK!
The National Subsea Centre is delighted to host the All Things Hydrogen Conference in collaboration with ​​Robert Gordon University and Hy-One.

Hy-One Joins SHINe
We're delighted to officially be part of Scotland’s Hydrogen Innovation Network (SHINe)!
SHINe exists to enhance Scotland’s hydrogen landscape by shining a light on its innovation network and supporting its existing ecosystem. SHINe was formed by Scottish Enterprise and will support businesses to innovate, scale and grow in Scotland’s hydrogen sector.
The team is looking forward to joining existing hydrogen innovators to offer organisations a single platform to easily find the required expertise, demonstration opportunities, test centres and partnerships to take their innovations closer to commercialisation.

The Future of Hydrogen Innovation
On Tuesday 10th September, Hy-One Testing Programme Lead, Professor Nadimul Faisal, took part in 'The Future of Hydrogen Innovation' event at Glasgow Caledonian University.
​
Hosted by Energy Technology Partnership (ETP), in partnership with The Scottish Government and SHINe, the day celebrated Scottish hydrogen innovators and highlighted their success within the sector.
​
Faisal enjoyed providing some valuable insight into the Hy-One journey and exploring current and future challenges through workshops and panel discussions to identify priorities and critical pathways.​

Subsea Expo 2024
On Wednesday 21st February, Professor Nadimul Faisal, took part in the ‘Hydrogen & CCUS - Developments towards Net Zero’ session at Global Underwater Hub's Subsea Expo.
​
During his presentation ‘Hy-One: Scotland’s Comprehensive Hydrogen Storage Testing Facility’, Faisal outlined the technical challenges arising within the hydrogen storage industry and how the establishment of the Hy-One facility will support the development, demonstration and implementation of small-to-large-scale compressed hydrogen storage vessels and their accessories.

Stakeholder Open House
On Wednesday 7th February, the Hy-One Team welcomed key stakeholders from across industry, academia and government to Robert Gordon University.
The event consisted of an insightful presentation from Professor James Njuguna on the Hy-One Testing Facility, which included the purpose and significance of the facility and details on our strategic plans, innovations and goals for the future. Attendees also enjoyed a first-hand look at the lab space, an engaging Q&A session and the opportunity to network with fellow stakeholders, industry experts and the Hy-One Team.

SHFCA Hydrogen Showcase
On Wednesday 25th October, Jemma Reynolds, took part in the 'Opportunities - What’s Coming Next’ session at the Scottish Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Association’s Hydrogen Showcase at OGV Taproom in Aberdeen.
​
Alongside a fantastic line-up of speakers, Jemma discussed the collaborative Hy-One Project. The event also shared current and future activites for local hydrogen deployment and supply chain development with examples from Aberdeen and the region.
